RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Technical Data Analyst in Los Angeles, CA.
Summary:
The Senior Technical Data Analyst provides strategic business analysis services to business partners and technology. Key responsibilities include gathering, analyzing, and documenting technical requirements to ensure all solutions align with strategic goals. This role is crucial for understanding and documenting the capabilities needed to address business challenges effectively.
The role involves reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks, as well as opportunities to improve efficiency.
The role requires a solid understanding of business requirements, documentation and software development processes.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the elicitation of technical business requirements gathering through interviews, workshops, and collaborative sessions with internal stakeholders (across front/middle/back-office) and external technology vendors
* Analyze and document the integration of various enterprise systems (data warehouse, financial reporting, portfolio management systems) and provide recommendations for technical improvements
* Map, review, and optimize business processes in relation to technical solutions, identifying areas for automation and efficiency; This includes recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes
* Develop comprehensive documentation, including process flows, data models, use cases, technical requirements, and user stories, ensuring clarity for development teams and stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS:
* 6 - 10 years of experience in a technology-oriented environment; Ideally in a private equity, financial services, or investment management environment
* Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Excel), database/querying tools (e.g., SQL), and Power BI for data visualization
* Strong background in technology solutions, data architecture, and systems integration, with a deep understanding of private equity operations and workflows
* Strong knowledge of enterprise-level applications (e.g., CRM systems, portfolio management tools, financial reporting systems)
* Familiarity with cloud technologies, data warehousing, and API integration
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
