About the team:

This position is a member of the Database team for Biller Solutions. In this role you will work with the other DBA team members to interact with various areas of the organization to support business objectives. You will administer the SQL Server databases in the PayDirect product line in environments from team quality assurance to production and disaster recovery. This role will provide support for database related items and work with development to help identify solutions and support for releases involving the databases. Additionally, this position will involve a rotating on call aspect and some work in Oracle databases to support lower level environments.

Job Description:

The SQL/ETL DBA I will help develops and implements solutions that require analysis and research. Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple ETL technologies and technical platforms. Possesses knowledge in a specific business area. Works on one or more projects as a team member or occasionally as a project lead. May coach junior technical staff. Works under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment. May consult with senior peers on certain projects. Typically requires four or more years database analysis experience.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

Create CREQ billable ticket and design requirements and statements of work for billable custom client work.
Be able to convert core to core data changes
Design and maintain Python ETL models
Be involved in HYC posts for clients

Follow standards defined by the business to import and export data as needed with our clients.
Maintains ETL dictionaries, monitors overall ETL standards and procedure, and integrates systems through ETL design.
Works closely with other Python script creators to integrate the database with other applications.
May provide leadership and/or guidance to other technical professionals.
Other related duties assigned as needed.

Maintain existing clients with day-to-day operational work.

Implement new customers, work with project managers and training staff to onboard new customers.
Discuss with clients their needs or issues, and work to resolve them using expert tools and skills

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of database utilities on multiple hardware/software platforms using multiple database engines
Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development
Proficiency to create and support technical environments

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors

Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas
Ability to estimate and create CREQ for work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed
