Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled SFG Engineer with strong hands-on experience in IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) to support production environments, provide integration guidance, and ensure seamless file transfer operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of AWS networking and connectivity, as well as proven experience in supporting and troubleshooting large-scale managed file transfer systems.

Required Skill:

5+ years of experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) implementation and administration.

Strong knowledge of file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, etc.).

Hands-on experience with AWS networking and connectivity concepts (VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, Security Groups, etc.).

Proven background in production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis in large enterprise environments.

Familiarity with Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI), PGP encryption, and certificate management.

Strong scripting and automation skills (Shell, Python, or similar) are a plus.

Job Description:

Provide production support and operational management for IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG).

Troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve issues related to file transfers, routing rules, and partner configurations.

Guide development and infrastructure teams on SFG integration best practices and connectivity.

Manage communication channels and protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS) for secure partner and internal data exchange.

Work closely with networking and cloud teams to ensure proper connectivity between SFG and AWS-hosted applications.

Maintain and enhance monitoring, alerting, and logging for SFG systems to ensure high availability and performance.

Participate in on-call rotation for production incident response and escalation support.
