Job description:

  • Experience:
    • 9+ years in data sourcing, data architecture, business analysis, or solution design roles, ideally in financial services or data-heavy domains.
  • Data Sourcing Architecture Translation & Documentation:
    • Strong experience converting conceptual ideas and architectural discussions into clear design documents, data flow diagrams, and process maps. Ability to independently create system architecture views and documentation based on working sessions or rough inputs. Data Flow & Solution Design Artifacts:
  • Data flow & Solution Design Artifacts:
    • Skilled in creating end-to-end data flow diagrams, S2T mapping templates, data gap logs, and transformation traceability documents. Familiarity with enterprise data pipelines and structured design documentation practices.
  • Controls & Governance Documentation:
    • Experience documenting validation rules, transformation controls, data checks, and governance frameworks across the data sourcing lifecycle. Understanding of how to create audit-ready artifacts that align with internal control expectations.
  • Tool & Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in diagramming tools(Gliffy, MS Visio/Power point). Strong skills in SQL and comfort working with data platforms like BigQuery, Cornerstone, or similar EDWs.
    • Ability to analyze metadata and table structures to support documentation of data hops and mappings.
  • Collaboration & Self-Driven Execution:
    • Proven ability to work closely with product leads, data architects, and engineering teams to gather input and build documentation iteratively. Comfortable asking clarifying questions and filling in missing context with minimal supervision.
  • Regulatory Reporting Experience (Nice to Have):
    • Exposure to regulatory reporting environments (e.g., Y-9C, 2052a, Basel) is a plus, but not required. Understanding of the types of documentation and traceability typically required in regulated financial environments.
