Location: On-site, Bloomington, IN

Client Industry: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing/Life Sciences

Compensation: $50 - $65/hr.

We have partnered with our client in their search for a high-visibility, on-site IT Project Manager role overseeing the full project life-cycle for multiple technology initiatives in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will drive schedules, budgets, resources, vendors, and quality-using Smartsheet and standard PM methodologies-while acting as the primary communication hub between IT, business stakeholders, and third-party partners.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery for concurrent IT infrastructure, application, and compliance projects (initiation through closeout)

  • Build and maintain integrated project schedules, RAID logs, resource plans, and executive dashboards in Smartsheet

  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, status reviews, and senior-level steering committees; publish concise updates and action items

  • Track project budgets, purchase orders, vendor SOWs, and invoices; reconcile actuals vs. forecast and report variances

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (IT, Quality, Manufacturing, Validation, Finance, external vendors) to remove blockers and meet milestones

  • Enforce GxP compliance, CSV, and data-integrity standards throughout project activities

  • Manage change control, risk mitigation, and issue escalation, ensuring timely resolution and documentation

  • Capture lessons learned and implement continuous-improvement practices across the PMO

Skills Required

  • Expert-level Smartsheet plus solid MS Project/Excel/PowerPoint skills

  • An understanding of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, computerized-system validation, and quality-by-design principles

  • Strong financial acumen: budget creation, cost tracking, invoice approval, and vendor management

  • Influential leadership and meeting-facilitation abilities; comfortable presenting to VPs/C-suite

  • Working knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and hybrid methodologies; experience with Jira or Azure DevOps a plus

  • Superior documentation, risk management, and analytical problem-solving skills

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's or MBA a plus)

  • 4 - 5+ years overall IT experience with 3+ years dedicated project-management responsibility in a regulated pharma/biotech setting
