About the Role


We are hiring an Infrastructure Engineer - Cryptography Specialist to join our client's Information Security team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with the head of cryptography at a leading global bank. You ll help drive a critical project focused on securing digital certificates and passwords in the cloud, ensuring the integrity and future-proofing of the bank's core security infrastructure against emerging threats like quantum computing.


Key Responsibilities




  • Support the enterprise digital certificate management lifecycle for applications, networks, and services.




  • Support, integrate, and manage vendor applications and enterprise provisioning services related to cryptography.




  • Design and implement tool and service designs within a technical domain to harden systems against attacks and secure sensitive data.




  • Mitigate the risk of malicious cyber attacks by ensuring the protection of system boundaries.




  • Contribute to complex information security projects, ensuring on-time delivery and identifying potential risks.




  • Serve as a subject matter expert on engineering initiatives related to cloud security and post-quantum cryptography.




What We re Looking For




  • 3-5 years of experience in information security technology, specifically within infrastructure.




  • Must-Have Proficiency In: Windows/IIS environments, TLS/SSH protocols, and key exchange protocols.




  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Services (AWS or Azure) and key protection mechanisms (e.g., KMS, Key Vault).




  • Foundational knowledge of cryptography, including the difference between symmetric/asymmetric encryption, hashing, and digital signatures.




  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical leads and stakeholders.




  • Bonus Skills (Plusses): Experience with Post Quantum Cryptography (NIST FIPS 203/204/205), .NET, DevOps (Jenkins), or financial industry experience.




Compensation


Hourly Rate: $80 $82 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
