Title: IBM Sterling B2B Integrator Developer/Administrator
Terms of Employment
Contract, 6 Months
This position can work on a 100% remote basis. Candidates based in the DMV area are preferred, but not required.
Overview & Responsibilities
Our client is seeking an experienced IBM Sterling B2B Integrator Developer/Administrator to design, develop, and support B2B integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with IBM Sterling B2B products (Sterling Integrator, Sterling File Gateway, Sterling Connect:Direct) and possess expertise in Business Process Modeling (BPML), EDI Mapping, and Communication Protocols. This role requires strong technical and analytical skills to translate business requirements into scalable, efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, configure, and support IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Sterling File Gateway, and Connect:Direct solutions.
Design and implement Business Process Modeling (BPML) solutions, including workflows, service/adaptor configurations, and mailbox setups.
Lead B2B development, production support, and infrastructure teams.
Develop and maintain EDI transactions (X12, XML, Flat Files, SQL, SAP IDOC) using GIS Map Editor, Visual Mapper, and Application Integrator.
Set up Trading Partners, AS2 communications, SAP Partner Profiles, Ports, and RFC Destinations.
Design and develop customer and channel partner business processes for XML and EDI communications.
Provide production support in a DevOps environment, troubleshooting integration issues and optimizing processes.
Work with Java/JEE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MyBatis to support application development and integration.
Develop and manage RESTful and SOAP web services for B2B integrations.
Work with UNIX environments and shell scripting for system automation and maintenance.
Utilize ITXA/WTX Eclipse-based GUI for EDI technical mapping and business process design.
Work with event-driven and message-based integration patterns to improve system efficiency.
Implement Jenkins and other DevOps tools for CI/CD and automation.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA X12 transactions and other regulatory standards in the healthcare sector.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (development, administration, and production support).
Strong expertise in BPML, XPath, and EDI mapping.
Hands-on experience in SQL, XML, SAP IDOC, and Integration Mapping.
Experience with Trading Partner Setup, Mailbox Configuration, and AS2 communication.
Proficiency in Java 8, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and MyBatis.
Strong knowledge of RESTful/SOAP web services and event-driven architecture.
Familiarity with Jenkins, UNIX (AIX), Shell scripting, and DevOps practices.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with HIPAA X12 transactions (e.g., 837, 834, 270, 276).
Knowledge of AJAX, jQuery, and other UI frameworks.
Experience with integration of SAP systems.
