Senior Director, Engineering Group Leader

We're seeking a future leadership team member for the role of Senior Director, Engineering Group Leader to join our Engineering team for Wealth Services Platform. This role is in Lake Mary, FL.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • This role requires a visionary leader who can build and manage high-performing teams, drive innovation, and deliver technology solutions that enhance business outcomes.
  • Lead and manage global development teams, ensuring appropriate design, technical capabilities, and resource allocation to meet strategic objectives.
  • Champion change management initiatives, encouraging innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement in technology solutions.
  • Drive quality and adherence to best practice in the end-to-end design and implementation of systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders, as well as clients, to develop solutions that drive revenue, client satisfaction, and efficiency.
  • Develop and execute group-wide business plans and participate in firm-wide initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead risk identification and mitigation efforts, handling escalations effectively.
  • Drive recruitment, development, and retention of diverse talent, fostering an inclusive culture that supports professional growth and wellbeing.
  • Manage operating budgets, forecast resource needs, and ensure financial discipline within the approved plans.
  • Motivate and mentor team members to maximize their contributions and support their career development.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • 15+ years of experience in systems analysis, program development, and technology leadership.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years managing development project teams, preferably in complex, global environments.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale technology projects and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated commitment to agile and inclusive engineering culture.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in financial services or related industries is a plus.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $ 136500 and $ 275,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
