Senior IT Auditor - IT SOX Readiness & Remediation (Senior Associate)

Role Summary: This Senior Associate will focus on the execution of IT SOX uplift initiatives and control remediation. This role is highly technical and hands-on, requiring a professional who can bridge the gap between identifying a control deficiency and implementing a sustainable solution. You will work onsite in the Bay Area to ensure new systems are "SOX-ready" before they go live.

Key Responsibilities

  • C2 Control Expertise: Execute and test complex C2 controls, focusing on high-risk areas and bespoke platform IT Automated Controls (ITACs).
  • SOX Uplift & Remediation: Perform deep-dive assessments of ITgaps; design and implement remediation plans to bring controls to operating effectiveness.
  • Systems Onboarding: Assist management in the end-to-end SOX readiness process for new system implementations, ensuring security and compliance are "baked in."
  • Testing Execution: Perform rigorous testing of ITGCs and ITACs across diverse environments (Oracle, SAP, Linux, Cloud).
  • Documentation: Maintain high-quality workpapers that meet external audit standards for the IT SOX PMO program.

Required Qualifications

  • Location: Must be based in the Bay Area (San Francisco /San Jose) and able to work onsite 3 days per week.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in IT Audit, IT Compliance, or IT SOX consulting.
  • Technical Skills: Proven experience with ITACs and bespoke platforms. Familiarity with Oracle, SAP, and Unix/Linux.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MIS, or Computer Science.
