Job Description: Client is seeking Propulsion Test Engineers located at Kennedy Space Center, FL.
Position Responsibilities
- Performs test engineering activities, including detailed operating procedure authoring and execution on spacecraft propulsion systems to achieve test, verification, and vehicle production objectives
- Hypergolic propellant servicing
- Develops and executes steps to perform component removals, replacement, and re-test on systems that contain hypergolic propellants
- Leak testing of spacecraft propulsion systems
Required Skills, Experience, and Education
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Previous experience loading hypergolic propellants or performing other test related operations on hypergol contaminated propellant systems
- Previous experience leak checking spacecraft fluid systems
- Previous experience developing procedures to leak check and perform functional testing of spacecraft hypergolic propellant systems
- Previous experience operating high-pressure pneumatic equipment, including to pressurize flight hardware
- Previous experience task leading technicians, QA team members, and other test engineers to execute testing
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities required to document and resolve non-conformances on both ground support equipment and flight hardware
- 5+ years propulsion related fluids test engineering experience on spacecraft
- Willing to work overtime and off shift operations, including 2nd and 3rd shift
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education
- Current non-Destructive Test (NDT) Leak Test certification
- Current SCAPE/SAR certification
