JOB TITLE: Control Systems Engineer (Oracle, Hitachi/ABB, Client, or OSI)
JOB LOCATION: Liverpool NY (Hybrid)
WAGE RANGE*: $50-65/hr.

4 days a week for training, then hybrid (2-3 days remote)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Educated to degree level in Electric Engineering technology, Information Technology, or other technical discipline is required
Working knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems
Basic understanding of electrical circuits and diagrams.
Working knowledge of commercial relational database packages (Oracle, SQL, Postgres) is highly desired
Experience working with commercial control systems such as Hitachi/ABB, Client, or OSI is highly desired
Experience with control room operations or field operations business is desired
Must possess ability to work independently and manage workload in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work effectively with remote teams and management

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Client's Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) department provides IT support services for the applications and environments that drive the company's critical operations. The data maintenance position will be part of the team supporting the New York jurisdiction's Energy Management System (EMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) application. The EMS/SCADA application is critical for the monitoring and control of the transmission and distribution electrical networks. The successful candidate will join a team responsible for supporting the overall 24x7 operation of Client's EMS/SCADA.
The successful candidate will work as part of multi-disciplinary team supporting the commissioning and modelling of electric distribution equipment in support of Client's FLISR (Fault Location, Isolation, & Service Restoration) and Distributed Generation connection programs within our NY jurisdiction

Section 4 - Position Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:


Performs tasks as part of a team responsible for maintaining control system database which models electric system topology
Coordinate with field personnel to update the SCADA database, update operating displays, and commission field equipment that communicates with the EMS.
Provide day-to-day EMS support by effectively responding to the needs of control room operating staff, field personnel, and other end users.
Participate in support and troubleshooting of problems with data and display discrepancies which impact control center and field operations
Works closely with multiple teams to prioritize and complete deadline driven work impacting company objectives
Coordinates weekly updates with control rooms and other stakeholders
