Job Details
Role Description
- Schedule, monitor, and execute batch jobs using Dollar Universe (preferred) or other enterprise scheduling tools
- Monitor production batch cycles across multiple environments to ensure application availability and stability
- Analyze batch failures and production incidents, identify root causes, and implement long-term corrective actions
- Write and maintain UNIX shell scripts to support batch automation and operational tasks
- Develop and maintain SQL queries for monitoring, validation, and operational reporting
- Monitor production systems using Splunk and cloud monitoring tools
- Collaborate with application development, database, and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents and improve performance
- Ensure timely communication, documentation, and escalation of production issues
- Participate in on-call/rotational support schedules as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in application development and support
- 4+ years of hands-on production support experience
- Strong experience in batch job scheduling, monitoring, and execution
- Hands-on experience with Dollar Universe (preferred); experience with other scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, Cron, or similar is acceptable
- Strong proficiency in UNIX/Linux shell scripting
- 2+ years of experience with SQL / Microsoft SQL Server
