Job Description: Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) SME

Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite at client office)
Experience Required: Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience in OTM, OTC, PTM

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong expertise in OTC and PTM modules. The candidate will support our client onsite in Dallas to provide post go-live support during an ongoing transformation and enhancement phase.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have deep hands-on expertise across OTM, OTC, and PTM tracks.

  • Possess proven mastery in functional and technical areas.

  • Handle critical, business-impacting issues on time.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize end-to-end transportation processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute hands-on solutioning for OTM, PTM, OTC tracks across the full solution lifecycle.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues by collaborating closely with business users.

  • Provide expert support for high-complexity areas like Rates Management and Shipment Management.

  • Drive integrations between OTM, PTM, OTC, and other enterprise systems (ERP, WMS, EDI, APIs).

  • Mentor client team members on best practices and troubleshooting.

  • Document solution design, configurations, and process flows for knowledge sharing.

Core Skill Areas & Complexity

High Complexity – Critical Expertise Required

  • Rates Management: Advanced configuration, complex rate structures, rate maintenance, optimization.

  • Shipment Management: End-to-end shipment lifecycle, execution, tracking, and exception handling.

Medium Complexity – Solid Working Knowledge Required

  • Integrations: ERP, WMS, EDI, APIs.

  • Item Configuration: Setup and management of item master data.

  • Carrier Configuration: Onboarding and managing carrier contracts and profiles.

  • Equipment Configuration: Defining and managing vehicle/equipment attributes.

  • Lane Configuration: Transportation lanes, routing, constraints.

  • Order Management: Order capture, validation, and processing.

  • User Management: Role-based access, provisioning, security.

  • Planning: Transportation planning, optimization, scenario analysis.

  • Freight Invoicing: Invoice validation, reconciliation.

  • Reporting: Custom reports and dashboards in OTM.

  • Screen Configuration: Customizing layouts, UIs for better user experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience in OTM, PTM, OTC.

  • Proven track record of successful implementations and post go-live support.

  • Deep expertise in Rates Management and Shipment Management.

  • Solid working knowledge of all medium-complexity areas listed above.

  • Strong integration experience with ERP, WMS, EDI, and APIs.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently onsite while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
