Job Title: Software Engineer - TS/SCI Clearance Required

Location: Reston, VA, Redmond, WA, Annapolis Junction, MD, or Atlanta, GA

Employment Type: Contract

Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI (Full Scope Polygraph preferred)
Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team in designing, developing, testing, and evaluating software and systems that power mission-critical applications. This role involves working on operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software across a variety of domains including medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, and scientific computing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Update, repair, modify, and expand existing computer programs.
  • Modify existing databases and database management systems.
  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions; specify identifiers for database management systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to coordinate database development and define project scope and limitations.
  • Review project requests to assess database user needs and estimate time and cost requirements.
Required Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic mentoring skills to support and provide constructive feedback.
  • Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and implementing system changes.
  • Solid knowledge of computer hardware, software, and development tools (e.g., SQL, Visual Basic).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
Security Requirements:
  • Must be able to pass U.S. background checks.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required; Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) preferred.
