Your role
Computer Systems Engineer/Architect - UBS Business Solutions US LLC - Morrisville, NC:
Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system malfunctions, or network concerns.
Perform systems management and integration functions.
Work on application development using core Java (JSE/JEE), MVC architecture, SQL, Linux, Sybase, and Oracle.
Analyze and test business requirements following Agile methodology and deliver solutions.
Handle production support issues to optimize performance and scalability.
Utilize Kafka connectors, Linux shell scripting, and Jira for task management.
Document implementations, changes, and solutions for observed issues with rigorous unit and integration testing.
Employ JUnit and Concordion to manually test in different environments.
Work with version control system GIT repository to maintain and deploy applications in development.
Use Maven for automation and project management.
Utilize Tectia to interface with remote servers.
Utilize Postman to create and update Kafka connectors.
Work with designing applications; writing test cases; core Java (JSE/JEE); C++; Linux; and, SQL scripting.

Requirements:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), Math, or a related field of study, plus two (2) years of experience with designing applications; writing test cases; core Java (JSE/JEE); C++; Linux; and/or, SQL scripting.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience.
