One Year Contract
This is a Hybrid Position - NO REMOTE Position available.
We are currently hiring candidates who are authorized to work on our W2.
Candidate with previous state/govt client experience is preferred.
Interview Process: Virtual Interview via MS Teams.
Accepting local candidates within 90 minutes of Lansing, MI at time of submission ONLY. Position will be hybrid, in office 2 days a week upon start.
The Business Analyst 5 position will work as a contract resource for the State of Michigan - Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supporting the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for the Michigan Accounts Receivable and Collections (MiARC) Project. The resource will act as a business analyst, with duties including serving as a liaison between the MDHHS business partner and development teams, gathering requirements from the business users, facilitating meetings, writing user stories, and developing required project documentation deliverables.

- 8+ years of experience gathering requirements from users:
- identifying impacted business processes
- assessing business needs
- identifying IT solution integration.
- GAP analysis
- SWOT analysis
- 6+ years of experience designing technical and business requirement documentation including:
- wireframes or screen mockups,
- context diagrams
- benefits realization
- business process models
- workflow diagrams
- traceability matrix
- 4+ years of experience with Agile methodology / SCRUM processes and ceremonies including:
- Daily Scrum
- Sprint Planning
- Backlog Grooming
- Sprint Reviews
- Sprint Retrospective
- 3+ years of experience working with Azure DevOps backlog management, Kanban board, Sprint board, etc.
- 5+ years of experience eliciting and decomposing requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
- 4+ years of experience working as a business analyst on financial systems.
- Experience writing test plans and use cases.
- Working knowledge of Systems Engineering Methodology (SEM) and Project Management Methodology (PMM)
- Senior level understanding of the secure application development lifecycle (SADLC)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Prior experience working with State or Federal government.
