Job Details
eeking a Senior Network Engineer to support its corporate headquarters in the DFW Mid-Cities area. This is a full-time, on-site role reporting directly to the IT Manager.
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for the availability, security, and ongoing maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure. This role works closely with IT staff and internal users to identify system needs, install and support hardware and software, and troubleshoot network issues.
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
Full-time, on-site role (DFW Mid-Cities)
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
Experience managing LAN/WAN in a Juniper-based network environment
Ability to lead, take initiative, and work independently
Strong network engineering, operations, and performance analysis skills
Strong communication skills with non-technical users
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain network security solutions including Fortinet firewalls, endpoint detection, and IDS
Implement, configure, and support Fortinet products and software
Assign network addresses and implement network protocols
Troubleshoot network outages and performance issues
Install, configure, and maintain switches, firewalls, cabling, and related equipment
Provide second-level network support
Assist with selection and implementation of new hardware and software
Perform network security monitoring and threat mitigation
Maintain documentation for networks, equipment, warranties, repairs, and requests
Manage and troubleshoot accounts, passwords, and access
Preferred Experience
Layer 3 troubleshooting on Juniper switches and Fortinet firewalls
Layer 1 and 2 networking troubleshooting
Routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, static routing
VMware
Nutanix
Wi-Fi troubleshooting
Active Directory (Windows Server 2012 / 2016)
Ruckus (plus)
Network monitoring tools such as PRTG
Certifications
Network+ or CCNA preferred
