AI/ML DevOps Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned AI/ML DevOps Engineer to lead the design, automation, and support of cloud-native infrastructure and pipelines for enterprise-scale AI/ML initiatives. This role will be instrumental in enabling scalable, secure, and reusable AI products across operating companies, with a strong emphasis on Azure and CI/CD automation. Experience with Databricks is a plus, particularly for ingestion and model deployment workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

• Architect and manage scalable, secure infrastructure for AI/ML workloads in Azure
• Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines for model training, deployment, and monitoring
• Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Bicep) to ensure repeatable and compliant environments
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and cost optimization across cloud environments

MLOps Framework & Lifecycle Management

• Own and evolve the enterprise MLOps framework, including lifecycle governance and operational standards
• Define and enforce best practices for model deployment, monitoring, and retraining
• Implement observability tools for model performance, data drift, and alerting

Reusable AI Product Enablement

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver reusable AI components and services
• Support lifecycle management of AI products across business units
• Develop shared templates, APIs, and deployment patterns to accelerate adoption

Security, Compliance & Collaboration

• Implement enterprise-grade security and compliance controls for AI/ML systems
• Partner with data engineering, DevOps, and business stakeholders to align infrastructure with strategic goals
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teams adopting MLOps practices

Qualifications

Required

• Education: Bachelor s or Master s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience:
• 5+ years in cloud engineering or DevOps
• 2+ years in MLOps, AI infrastructure, or ML engineering
• Technical Skills:
• Deep expertise in Azure, including ML services and DevOps tooling
• Strong Python skills; familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Experience with MLflow or similar lifecycle tools
• Familiarity with Databricks, Apache Spark, and scalable data pipelines
• Proficiency in SQL and understanding of relational/NoSQL databases

Preferred

• Certifications in Azure, AI/ML, or data engineering
• Experience in the energy sector or multi-business environments
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps for operational workflows
• Experience designing reusable AI services or low-code interfaces
• Agile project management experience

The compensation range for this position is $60 to $75/hr W2

(dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
