Role: Senior Java Engineer
Location: Westlake, TX (Remote, Only locals)
Duration: 12 months contract

Overview:
Our client is modernizing their technology platform to handle growing business volumes and streamline workflows to reduce manual processing. The goal is to build a scalable, efficient, and reliable system that supports increased demand and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop APIs and backend services using Java and AWS.
• Support distributed application development with integration to Oracle databases.
• Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams to deliver scalable fintech/brokerage solutions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for continuous delivery and monitoring.
• Ensure system observability, performance, and reliability through modern monitoring tools.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Java, AWS, Angular, and Oracle development.
• Strong expertise in API design, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and database normalization.
• Proficient in CI/CD tools: EKS, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, Udeploy, Artifactory, Terraform, Stash.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Datadog.
• Background in fintech or brokerage domains with Agile development experience.
