Job Title: Senior Cybersecurity Analyst
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite) Local Only
Position Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, administer, and troubleshoot software and hardware related to cybersecurity tools and platforms
  • Apply security patches and updates to ensure systems remain current and protected
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance network and system security controls
  • Evaluate existing DSHS cybersecurity tools, technologies, and controls to identify gaps and risks
  • Provide actionable recommendations and implement risk-reduction and remediation plans
  • Design, prepare, and deliver project documentation, including:
    • Project plans
    • Status and progress reports
    • Briefings and presentations
    • Internal and external stakeholder communication materials
  • Conduct research, interviews, meetings, and workshops to understand DSHS strategic objectives, processes, challenges, and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate extensively with internal teams, business partners, and external stakeholders to identify, analyze, and resolve complex security issues
  • Review and edit DSHS documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and formatting standards
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical documentation and security-related literature
  • Produce regular progress reports and briefing materials for leadership and stakeholders as required
