Senior Node.JS Developer

Our client is seeking a Senior Node.JS Developer for a 6+ month contract in Irving, TX. Will be working on an Onsite schedule. Will be on developing a sophisticated, scalable middleware platform using RESTful / Serverless APIs to be consumed across the company. Will ensure that the platform is robust and easy to maintain. Will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different infrastructure layers.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of development experience.
• 5+ years of ReactJS experience.
• 5+ years of Node.JS experience.
• 8+ years of JavaScript experience.
• Expertise in Node.JS development.
• Familiarity with the latest ECMA-Script specifications.
• Expertise in AWS technologies like CloudFront, SNS, SES, SQS, Cloud Formation.
• Expertise in working with DevOps and the Build pipelines.
• Expertise in the development of Unit Test cases, Testing frameworks, and scripting.
• Expertise in client-side JavaScript frameworks like React, jQuery.
• Experience in JavaScript and supporting technologies such as TypeScript and NPM.
• Experience in building solutions using the AWS cloud platform, with technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis, SNS, SQS, ECS, S3, and others.
• Knowledge of Node.JS concepts (Such as event loop, cluster, and memory management).
• Experience working with enterprise technology platforms. Possess a strong technical background.
• Strong understanding of building RESTful web services.
• Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases.
• Strong experience with development methodologies such as XP, Agile, or SCRUM.
• Exposure to various technologies, including enterprise application integration, database design and configuration, web applications, operating platforms, security, and networking.
• Develop unit tests during the development process.
• Ability to drive design/architectural path.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and advisory skills.
• Able to drive the requirements thru complete SDLC from requirements to delivery.

What You Will Be Doing

• Pre and Post migration of stores data validations.
• Problem Solving, Issue Resolution, Sense of urgency in solving production issues.
• Perform Data, Log Analysis and identify the root cause.
• Develop code, write unit tests, client tests, communicating status and issues to teammates and leadership.
• Work with technical leads on low-level design and develop code as per design specifications.
• Read host/processor specifications and understand the requirements as needed.
• Write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
• Follow 'clean code' practices.
• Stays on the leading edge of software development tools and best practices.
• Self-directed with a start-up/ entrepreneur mindset.
• Keep up to date with latest technology stack.
• Understand existing code/logic to make new enhancements.
• Work with leads and other team members for troubleshooting production issues.
