Day in the Life of an Early Career Industrial Engineer - Amarillo, TX
We are looking for driven engineers with a passion to innovate. From tiltrotor technology to tail sitting vehicles, our engineers work across a wide portfolio of aircraft programs. This entry level position develops and coordinates with Manufacturing the strategies and plans that improve productivity. Under Management supervision, implements practices to reduce operating expenses, reduce work in progress, and increase production.
As an Early Career Industrial Engineer at Bell, You Can Expect to:
Learn to understand and support manufacturing assembly lines ensuring schedule, cycle time, and cost objectives are achievable.
Learn to develop manpower forecasts plans based on standard loads and assist manufacturing in achieving cost targets by developing work plans & evaluating performance.
Learn to develop capacity analysis.
Participate and support improvement projects.
Collect, tabulate, and graphically depict historical data to support program evaluation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to achieve cost competitive processes.
Learn to analyze and develop factory layouts to reduce cycle time, increase output, and increase cost competitiveness.
Utilize reporting tools (Power BI & Kinaxis) to depict historical data and project future shop load analysis.
Utilize work sampling and data analytics to ensure all production MES systems have budget, time standards, and appropriate work centers.

Schedule and cost analysis
Manpower justification

Skills You Bring To this Role:
A Bachelor's degree or higher with a major in Industrial Engineering or equivalent Engineering degree required.
0-2 years of relevant experience in prior co-ops or internships or projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on process improvement & knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and activities.
Able to work on site in Amarillo, TX (relocation assistance available)
Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to prioritize a variety of assignments.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel & PowerPoint, SQL & Power BI preferred.
