Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Workday Technical Architect to join our team in Dallas, TX. This role will serve as the technical lead for all Workday integrations and configurations across our enterprise platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Workday, particularly in integration architecture, custom development, and solution design, and will play a critical role in shaping and maintaining the integrity of our Workday ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and architect scalable Workday solutions aligned with Omnion s business goals.
Lead Workday technical strategy including system integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, PECI/PICOF, and APIs).
Collaborate with functional leads, HRIS, Finance, and IT teams to assess business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
Ensure integration best practices are followed and documentation is up-to-date.
Provide technical guidance on Workday updates, releases, and new feature implementations.
Oversee the development and configuration of custom reports, calculated fields, and security roles.
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with third-party integration partners.
Support Workday tenant management, data migrations, and sandbox refresh cycles.
Act as a mentor to junior developers and Workday analysts within the team.
Participate in architectural reviews, performance tuning, and system optimization initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master s degree a plus.
8+ years of experience in enterprise application development, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Workday technical architecture.
Proven experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, Cloud Connect, Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Workday Web Services (REST/SOAP).
Strong understanding of Workday security architecture and domain frameworks.
Experience with Workday modules like HCM, Payroll, Financials, and Absence is highly desirable.
Familiarity with data governance, change management, and SDLC processes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
Workday certifications (e.g., Workday Integration, Workday Studio) strongly preferred.
Nice to Have:
Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce).
Familiarity with Workday Extend (formerly Workday Cloud Platform).
Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery models.
Knowledge of Workday Prism Analytics or Adaptive Planning.
