Role Summary:
The SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect is a highly skilled professional with strong SAP leadership abilities. They evaluate business requirements and design integrated solutions for SAP customers, aligning and orchestrating company business processes with SAP S/4HANA capabilities. They play a crucial role in leading technical discussions, translating complex SAP concepts for non-technical stakeholders, and guiding clients through project scoping and delivery to ensure successful implementation. With a unique combination of business process understanding and technical expertise, the Solution Architect acts as a liaison between functional consultants, business analysts, and technical teams, and is involved in multiple stages of implementation, from design to post-go-live support.
Role Responsibilities
Define Strategic SAP Vision and Roadmaps
- Partner with business functions to manage existing product plans, develop new plans, and ensure alignment with the overall SAP S4/HANA ERP environment.
- Provide direction, guidance, and motivation to Product and Capability Teams, ensuring collaboration and alignment with business partners.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the supported business functional area, including goals, opportunities, hazards, and competitive set. Ability to forge new, technology-driven business models that augment their strategy.
- Drive innovative technical business solutions by leading the team in business process engineering, solution assessments, and alignment with the SAP solution set.
- Demonstrate comprehensive business knowledge, including a deep understanding of how the business operates across finance, order to cash, sourcing, planning, manufacturing, quality, and warehouse management.
Design, Configuration, and Implementation
- Assess business requirements, including non-functional constraints, to design, configure, and implement end-to-end SAP S/4HANA solutions that meet business needs.
- Ensure the architecture is scalable, sustainable, and integrates seamlessly with other systems.
- Define and oversee custom developments when standard configurations are insufficient.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices and SAP standards.
- Define data models, workflows, and process automation within SAP S/4HANA.
- Advise Capability and Product Teams on SAP best practices.
- Develop implementation plans and provide leadership and oversight for their execution with the Capability and Product Teams.
Technical Expertise
- Lead the technical vision for SAP implementation.
- Possess a deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA and its full platform capabilities.
- Configure SAP to meet customers' business needs.
- Define integration points within SAP domains and with non-SAP systems.
- Have knowledge of SAP modules such as Financial Accounting (FI), Costing (CO), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), Logistics Execution (LE), and Production Planning (PP).
- Be familiar with SAP Fiori, NetWeaver, and ABAP.
BPO - CI
- Stay updated on the SAP S/4HANA roadmap and become a trusted advisor for the enterprise.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into SAP solutions using standard SAP S/4HANA functionality.
- Optimize existing business processes by leveraging S/4HANA best practices.
- Recommend and implement process improvements.
- Assist in designing solutions for new SAP S/4HANA features and functions that enhance value delivery in areas needing process improvement, aligned with organizational strategic goals and objectives.
Communications
- Strong communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and team management experience with both onsite and offshore resources.
- Capability to engage with all organizational levels, from the SAP team to senior-level leaders in Finance, Order Management, Pricing, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Procurement.
Performance Management & Leadership
- Offer comprehensive SAP functional and technical leadership to Product and Capability Teams managing business and technical operations within SAP.
- Oversee SAP talent development initiatives within Product and Capability Teams responsible for SAP functionalities.
- Contribute to SAP Project/Product Management by providing staffing plan recommendations for product team activities within the SAP environment.
