DevOps Engineer

A financial services company is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer for a great opportunity with their team in the Charlotte, NC area. Hybrid: 3 days on-site; 2 days from home

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the smooth operation of the company's IT infrastructure.


• Collaborate with developers to deploy and manage code changes.


• Work with operations staff to ensure systems are up and running smoothly.


• Influence application architects within the Lines of Business (LoBs) to fulfill organizational goals and objectives.


• Establish relationships with key technical and non-technical decision makers to drive long-term cloud adoption and develop impactful solutions.


• Provide technical expertise and advice to application development teams to guide cloud adoption.


• Represent the infrastructure organization to LoB teams, helping define future direction around cloud application designs and usage.


• Design and publish standards for application patterns.


• Forecast cloud consumption and establish cloud consumption patterns.


• Set standards for cloud infrastructure teams.


• Establish metrics to guide LoB development organizations on cloud implementation best practices.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of both development and operations processes.


• Strong technical background.


• Experience working on a team of cloud enablement architects.


• Ability to influence application architects and fulfill organizational goals.


• Proven ability to establish relationships with key decision makers.


• Expertise in providing technical advice for cloud adoption.


• Experience in designing and publishing standards for application patterns.


• Ability to forecast cloud consumption and establish consumption patterns.


• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure standards and best practices.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
