Role: Enterprise Solutions Architect - .Net FullStack Duration: 2+ Years (Contract) W2 Location: Salem, OR (Remote)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the readiness assessment for the agency's in-house application development capability.
  • Analyze existing IT infrastructure, architecture, staffing, and development practices.
  • Assess alignment with security, compliance, and performance best practices.
  • Evaluate current use of the Microsoft technology stack (.NET, Azure, SQL Server).
  • Identify organizational gaps, risks, and capability shortfalls.
  • Deliver a formal findings and recommendations report and a step-by-step roadmap for successful application development.
  • Collaborate with agency stakeholders to ensure clarity, alignment, and buy-in.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in software development, solution architecture, or IT consulting
  • Recent experience working with Microsoft Azure and enterprise .NET solutions
  • Prior experience working with public sector, state government, or regulated organizations
  • Background in project planning, technical documentation, and strategic IT consulting
  • Proven experience conducting enterprise-level readiness or gap assessments.
  • Strong background in full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Expertise in Microsoft-based development environments, including:
  • .NET (Core and Framework)
  • Azure cloud architecture
  • SQL Server
  • Deep understanding of software architecture and system design at both logical and physical levels.
  • Strong grasp of application security best practices, particularly in regulated environments.
  • Experience developing and documenting roadmaps, governance processes, and technical strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, including stakeholder engagement and executive-level reporting.
