Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maximo Consultant to lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of IBM Maximo Asset Management solutions. The Maximo Consultant will work closely with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful deployment of Maximo applications. This role requires deep functional and technical expertise in IBM Maximo, strong business analysis skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions in asset-intensive industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements related to Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Asset Performance Management (APM).

  • Solution Design: Design, configure, and customize IBM Maximo solutions, including Maximo Application Suite (MAS), to meet client-specific needs and industry best practices.

  • Implementation: Lead or support the implementation of Maximo solutions, including configuration, workflow development, and integration with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, SAP, Oracle).

  • Integration: Develop and manage integrations using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) or other tools to connect Maximo with external systems.

  • Customization: Create custom reports (e.g., BIRT), workflows, and scripts (e.g., Python, Java) to enhance Maximo functionality and meet client requirements.

  • Data Migration: Support data migration and conversion activities, utilizing tools like Maximo Data Loader (MDL) or SQL/PLSQL scripting.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve functional and technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance.

  • Training and Support: Provide training to end-users and IT staff, and offer ongoing support for Maximo applications, including mobile and cloud-based solutions.

  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user manuals.

  • Project Management: Lead or contribute to project planning, estimation, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Maximo, including implementation, configuration, and support, preferably with Maximo 7.x or Maximo Application Suite (MAS).

  • Technical Skills:

    • Expertise in Maximo modules (e.g., Work Management, Asset Management, Inventory, Procurement).

    • Proficiency in Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), BIRT reporting, and workflow design.

    • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) and database management (SQL, PL/SQL).

    • Experience with Maximo mobile solutions, cloud deployments, and integrations with ERP systems.

    • Familiarity with IBM WebSphere, Maximo Add-Ons (e.g., Linear, Spatial), or industry-specific modules (e.g., Oil & Gas, Utilities).

  • Certifications: Preferred: IBM Maximo Certified Deployment Professional (V6, V7, V7.5) or equivalent.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent communication and client-facing skills for workshops, presentations, and training.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently or in a team environment.

  • Other: Willingness to travel to client sites (up to 50%) and work on-site as needed.

Work Environment

  • Location: Hybrid or remote, with travel to client sites as required.

  • Schedule: Full-time, with potential for on-call support for critical issues.

  • Conditions: Mix of office-based, remote, and on-site work, depending on project requirements.
