Position : Cloud Engineer with Java Coding Exp
Location : Reston Virginia
Mostly remote but the Hiring Manager wants candidates only from DMV as they can be called onsite anytime.
Duration of the project: 6 Months
Work Authorization :Citizen EAD
Rate : $57/hr on W2 no benefits
Notes from Manager :
- This role will solely be involved in migrating an application from on-prem to AWS cloud.
- This is a lift and shift project, and No modernization or new development will be needed.
- This is a web application with multiple integration points which will need to be moved to AWS cloud.
Must haves:
- Must have done a good number of projects in AWS Cloud migration VERY IMP
- Must have experience with Java coding and architecture in terms of a developer. Will be doing tweks and some code changes during the migration.
- Docker and containerization experience -Key skill
- EKS Kubernetes experience Key skill
- Container orchestation experience Key
- Must have experience with Load balancers
- DevOps, CI/CD Jenkins and GitLab
- Must have some experience in
- Not looking for Cloud Admins or pure Java developers. They will not be developing and deploying applications.
- This will involve containerization of the app and then migrating to the AWS cloud.
