Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Loan IQ Specialist to provide technical expertise and support for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of the Loan IQ platform. This role requires strong domain expertise in syndicated and bilateral lending and proficiency with FIS Loan IQ to ensure accurate loan booking, servicing, and lifecycle event processing. This role will be instrumental in configuring the system, integrating with upstream/downstream applications, managing batch jobs and reports, and troubleshooting data or process issues across the loan servicing lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of loan processing workflows and strong technical skills in system interfaces, data analysis, and scripting. collaborate across business, technology, and operations teams to optimize loan processing workflows, enhance platform capabilities, and support daily operations and change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
System Support & Configuration
- Provide expert-level support for the FIS Loan IQ platform, including configuration, interface definitions, systems rules, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
- Act as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for loan lifecycle events: drawdowns, rollovers, rate fixings, payments, fee schedules, prepayments, restructures.
- Maintain static data, pricing matrices, and reference tables in Loan IQ.
- Create and update workflows, reports, and interface settings.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues with loan data, scheduled jobs, interest calculations, payment processing, and exception handling.
- Configure and maintain automated jobs, batch processes, and data extracts from Loan IQ.
- Support upgrades and patch implementations, including regression testing and environment validation.
Integration & Data Management
- Design and manage integrations between Loan IQ and core banking systems, payment gateways, general ledger, and risk systems using APIs, flat files, or middleware (e.g., MQ, Mulesoft).
- Perform SQL-based data analysis, corrections, and reconciliations as needed.
- Monitor interface performance and address failed transmissions or data quality issues.
Reporting & Automation
- Develop and maintain custom reports (using Loan IQ s reporting tools or external BI tools).
- Support RPA or automation initiatives related to loan lifecycle events, static data updates, and exception handling.
Business & Operational Support
- Liaise with front office, credit, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate loan servicing.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to interest calculations, payment allocations, and amortizations.
- Perform reconciliations between Loan IQ and downstream systems (GL, accounting, risk).
Project & Change Management
- Participate in system implementations, enhancements, and data migration projects.
- Assist with testing (UAT), documentation, and training during Loan IQ rollouts or upgrades.
- Contribute to process automation and integration initiatives (APIs, RPA, ETL tools).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience working with Loan IQ in a functional, technical, or hybrid capacity.
- Strong knowledge of syndicated and bilateral loan products, credit agreements, and loan accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience in servicing functions such as rate setting, billing, cash flows, and events processing.
- Solid understanding of SWIFT messages, payment instructions, and reconciliation workflows.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Loan IQ APIs, report writing tools, or database querying (SQL).
- Familiarity with Agile project methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Exposure to regulatory compliance processes (SOX, Basel, etc.).
- Loan IQ certification or training from FIS (a plus).
