Sentinel is looking for an IT Support Manager for one of our clients. This role will include hiring, training and ensuring their team has resources to complete their jobs. This individual will manage the help desk, ensure system reliability, and support organizational IT objectives through proactive planning and effective team management. It is a 24/7 facility and will need to have on call availability along with occasional travel required. This is an onsite, full time role, reporting to the client location in Scottsdale, AZ.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a computer related field
- 5+ years of experience in technical support and management
- Oversee and support a wide range of technologies, including client/server and web applications, databases, LAN & WAN concepts, virtual desktops, desktop software, and hardware peripherals.
- Manage and maintain Windows 10, Windows 2012 Server, Active Directory, and help desk software
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (proficient in Excel) and SQL (preferred)
- Proven ability to configure, deploy, and support desktops, network printers, and other peripherals
- Customer service orientation with the ability to motivate and lead a team
- Position requires lifting of up to 25-50 pounds
- Position requires standing, walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- AS400 and Unix/RS6000 experience is a plus
- ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) certification preferred
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
- A valid driver s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a can-do attitude
