Job Description:

As a Cloud Engineer at Parsons, you will work with software development teams and mission owners to provide technical guidance and help them design next-generation systems that leverage cloud-native technologies and services. Strong understanding of services hosted in various cloud environments is required. Many of our customers' current solutions are being migrated to cloud based solutions. Parsons is looking for Cloud Engineers to help with the migrations.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Providing technical expertise on cloud computer technologies and services
  • Recommending approaches to migrate tools and systems to cloud-based solutions
  • Help teams make informed decisions on SaaS, PaaS, self-hosted, and hybrid approaches
  • Requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
  • Working with products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Big Table, Cassandra, Scality et cetera
  • Writing scripts for software automation
  • Provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complete hardware/software systems to include monitoring technical health of a system, improving organizational processes, implementation of postmortem (failure) analysis and incident management

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • TS/SCI w/ Poly required for consideration
  • One of the following certifications; AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Data Analytics (some flexibility to obtain within four (4) months of starting position)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Kubernetes experience including a Kubernetes Admin responsible for upgrading, version control and configuration management. Creating best practices that enable consistency
  • AWS experience with AMI generation and automating processes to make it easier for analysts to use
  • Create integration with enterprise authentication services
  • Experience with Elastic Map Reduce and other Cloud vendors
  • Kubernetes Developer or Admin

Salary Range:
$81,500.00 - $161,400.00
