Job Description:
Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Reliability Engineer specializing in Identity Management to join their team. This role involves supporting identity management applications for both human and system account management, primarily built on PingIdentity and ForgeRock products. This position is hybrid, requiring three days of on-site work per week in Montreal and includes weekend and evening on-call rotations. The contract is set for a duration of one year with the possibility of transitioning to full-time employment.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and support LDAP Directory Services products such as PingDirectory and PingDataSync.
  • Provide first-line support during large-scale outages, including participation in postmortem and problem management meetings with a data-driven and code-first approach.
  • Prepare and execute change management activities, often incorporating automation and tool creation to enhance processes.
  • Collaborate with partner enterprise technology teams, providing essential support to stakeholders and our Level 2 operations team.
  • Contribute to performance and training assessments of team members.
  • Enhance the stability of Identity Management platforms by identifying and implementing alert automation and self-healing functions.
  • Monitor application and infrastructure performance using service level objectives (SLO) and service level indicators (SLI) to ensure scalability and seamless handling of increased loads.
  • Address security and compliance issues, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices for security and data protection.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Background in IT Operations, Reliability Engineering, or a DevOps environment.
  • Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile/DevOps work environments.
  • Technical proficiency in LDAP protocol functionalities and support for PingDirectory and PingDataSync.
  • Experience in operating system administration on platforms such as Windows (Active Directory) and Red Hat Linux (RHEL7+).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Shell (bash).
  • Knowledge of enterprise security standards and general infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently with a problem-solving mindset, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
