Description
We are looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Analyst with a strong background in software testing to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment, ensuring high-quality applications across web, desktop, and mobile platforms. Located in Johnstown, Colorado, this position also provides an opportunity to gain insight into the agriculture industry while contributing to the development and improvement of critical systems.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for web, desktop, and mobile applications to ensure functionality and performance.
Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to define, analyze, and validate user stories.
Conduct manual testing and document results, while identifying opportunities for automation where applicable.
Perform integration testing for enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and system compatibility.
Analyze business processes and provide recommendations to improve functionality and usability.
Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
Communicate testing progress, issues, and results clearly to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Manage testing timelines and milestones, ensuring deliverables are met efficiently.
Participate in ongoing learning to understand the agriculture industry and its unique business processes.
Travel up to 20% initially, reducing to 10% over time, to support business needs and system implementations.
Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with strong manual testing expertise.
Familiarity with bug tracking tools and processes, ensuring efficient issue identification and resolution.
Experience conducting integration testing across multiple platforms, including web, desktop, and mobile.
Proficiency in SQL for querying complex datasets and validating data accuracy.
Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies to support efficient software development cycles.
Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
Willingness to travel as required, with travel initially set at 20% and reducing to 10% over time.
