Job Summary Workday HCM Functional Consultant (Higher Education Experience Required)

- Serve as the primary Workday HCM Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Core HR, Payroll, and Benefits functions.
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional Workday design specifications.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday business processes, security roles, and data structures.
- Support and validate payroll cycles, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with HR and Finance teams.
- Manage employee lifecycle transactions, including hiring, job changes, terminations, and benefits enrollments.
- Develop and maintain Workday reports and dashboards for HR operations and compliance needs.
- Troubleshoot system issues, perform impact analysis on new releases, and manage regression testing.
- Provide end-user support, training, and maintain documentation for HR, Payroll, and Benefits users.
- Lead functional and user acceptance testing (UAT), and coordinate defect resolution efforts.
- Collaborate with business units to improve system processes and ensure data quality.
- Work closely with technical teams to design and validate Workday integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, APIs).
- Monitor and troubleshoot Workday integrations and ensure data integrity with external systems.
- Create and maintain custom reports and calculated fields tailored to operational needs.
