What you'll do...
  • Lead Industrial Controls systems development, migration to Ford based solutions and verification for BOSK programs
  • Lead development key Controls standards for BOSK programs
  • Lead Cyber Security programs and application for BOSK programs
  • Estimate, plan and deliver electrical infrastructure for BME BOSK programs
  • Identify Controls Best Practice; launch Enablers, Training, and Change Control, etc.
  • Support ETC Subcommittee member, as required
  • Liaison with IT on IT / Controls interface issues
  • Drawing Approval, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical
  • Approve requests for deviations/waivers from OEM's and Plant
  • Monitor use of Structured software specification, organize training for OEM's where required
  • Issue resolution during machine build and Installation
  • Support fresh eyes on other current programs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production-related downtime (i.e. PLC programs, HMI Screens, etc.)
  • Emphasis on delivery and continuous improvement of safety, quality, and productivity
  • Interface with Automation Suppliers to manage program deliverables
  • Run-off equipment per JV Partner/Ford specifications at supplier and plant to validate capability and robustness including safety
  • Ensure production systems meet objectives through R&M, Process Design and FMEAs
  • Work with plant personnel with appropriate timing and installation documentation, to ensure efficient/timely installation and validation
  • Use Lessons Learned to develop program studies and improve standard Bill of Processes


You'll have...
  • H.S. Diploma and 7 plus years of relevant experience
  • Individual must be a team player and willing to take a leadership role in a project setting
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD)
  • Controls Experience Required, FAST programming knowledge preferred
  • Experience in Controls Software, Cyber Security and Standards
  • Exposure to multiple controls architectures preferred (Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc..)
  • Self-starting (learner and growth mindset), self-directed with extremely good influential, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Strong manufacturing background with heavy emphasis on production related controls experience
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to a dynamic JV working environment, working with international JV Partner and diverse team
  • Flexibility in work location, ability to travel, work overtime and holidays when required

Even better, you may have...
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Project Management experience a plus
  • Automation design knowledge/experience ASRS Systems, part and process tracking systems (FIS or related), etc.
  • Five years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
