Location: Houston Texas (The Woodlands) OR Wichita Kansas

Schedule: Hybrid at least 3 days a week in the office

Travel: Minimal, 5% 10%

Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year base salary

About the Role

As a Senior Mobile Developer, you will work as part of an Agile development team delivering IntelliSPEC's next-generation mobile platform. You will architect, develop, and optimize mobile applications that combine offline-first capabilities, offline edge AI processing, and integration with a scalable microservices architecture.

This role blends deep technical problem-solving with modern UI and UX design patterns, ensuring applications are not only high performing in remote and challenging industrial environments, but also intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging.

The Team

You will join IntelliSPEC's Product Engineering group, a collaborative, high-performing team at the intersection of edge computing, cloud platforms, and AI-driven analytics. We thrive on solving complex engineering problems, delivering reliable solutions, and pushing mobile technology boundaries.

What We're Looking For

Required

• 8+ years in mobile development with React Native, Flutter, or native iOS/Android, plus proficiency in C#, .NET MVC, and Node.js for backend service development and integration
• Proven experience building offline-first applications with robust data sync, local storage, and conflict resolution strategies
• Hands-on experience with offline mobile databases such as Realm or SQLite, including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices integration, and mobile performance optimization
• Experience implementing offline AI models including:
• Packaging and deploying trained ML/AI models to mobile or edge devices
• Using frameworks such as TensorFlow Lite, Core ML, or ONNX Runtime for on-device inference
• Optimizing models for performance, size, and battery efficiency in constrained environments
• Handling model updates and version control without disrupting offline functionality
• Integrating AI-driven features like anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and computer vision into mobile workflows
• Ability to design and implement modern UI and UX patterns, including responsive layouts, accessibility standards, and design system integration
• Background in developing secure, compliant applications for mission-critical workflows
• Strong experience working in Agile environments and applying SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) for planning, delivery, and continuous improvement
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Preferred

• Industrial or field-service app experience
• Advanced API design and performance optimization in distributed systems
• Knowledge of RBAC and multi-tenant design
• Experience with Azure B2C, secure APIs, and offline mapping/geolocation

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of IntelliSPEC's mobile platform, incorporating offline-first capabilities, edge AI, and microservices integration
• Architect data synchronization mechanisms between local and cloud systems for reliability in low-connectivity conditions
• Implement modern, user-focused UI and UX designs that meet accessibility and usability standards for industrial environments
• Collaborate with backend teams to optimize APIs and services for performance and scalability using C#, .NET MVC, and Node.js
• Drive Agile delivery using SAFe principles, including participation in PI planning, sprint planning, and backlog refinement
• Establish technical standards, mentor engineers, and ensure best practices for performance, security, and compliance
