Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop, and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Computer Applications, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Computer Applications, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: Developing responsive Web User Interfaces using Object Oriented JavaScript, Typescript, CSS3, HTML5, and AJAX; Developing single page applications using React or Angular. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: Test Driven Development with Jasmin and Karma; Developing Web Applications that support Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari web browsers and Apple and IOS mobile devices; CSS Frameworks including Bootstrap and CSS preprocessors including SASS and Less; Interacting with Product, Designers, and Business Analysts to understand requirements and convert them into solutions; JavaScript libraries including AG Grid; Performing quality checks of code and identifying security vulnerabilities by using Sonar Qube; Designing Java and J2EE Restful API interfaces; Debugging production issues and triaging defects; Writing optimistic queries in Splunk to monitor application stability; Writing quality compliant code; Leveraging the version control tools Git and Bitbucket; Working in Agile.
