Job Title: Experienced Reliability, Maintainability & System Health Engineer

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Duration: 12 Months

Schedule: On-Call (Approx. 20 hours/week) | Onsite, Remote, or Hybrid (Hybrid preferred)

Position Overview

A systems integration team is seeking an experienced engineer to support advanced aerospace programs focused on mobility, surveillance, and bombers. This role involves applying systems engineering principles to design, develop, and verify lifecycle-balanced solutions that ensure mission success. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the configuration, certification, and delivery of integrated aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to plan, design, and verify complex system-of-systems solutions
  • Evaluate customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements and ensure compatibility across physical, functional, and program interfaces
  • Conduct system-level analyses to optimize architecture and performance
  • Perform assessments for reliability, maintainability, diagnostics, system health, testability, and other specialty engineering factors
  • Integrate considerations such as affordability, safety, survivability, system security, regulatory compliance, and certification into system configurations
  • Develop and improve processes for requirements management, risk and issue tracking, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessments
  • Resolve cross-functional technical challenges in a dynamic engineering environment

Day-to-Day Activities
  • Generate component-level FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) and reliability predictions
  • Conduct research and engage in technical discussions to support system health modeling
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to validate and refine system performance

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science
  • Minimum 4 years of experience applying Systems Engineering principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and organizational levels in a fast-paced environment
  • Critical thinking and adaptability in agile team settings

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing systems using the Systems Engineering V model
  • Background in requirements development and verification
  • Ability to lead and influence without formal authority
  • 5+ years of experience in Reliability, Maintainability, and System Health engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in FMECA, reliability predictions, and/or reliability testing
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience applying Reliability and Maintainability engineering principles
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and practices
