Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field (Master s or certifications like FRM/CFA preferred).

  • 3 5 years of experience in energy commodities trading or supply chain risk management.

  • Strong knowledge of commodity markets, trading instruments, and hedging techniques.

  • Advanced Excel and solid experience with VBA, SQL, and Python (preferred).

  • Familiarity with RightAngle and SAP is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.



Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Risk Analyst to support our energy commodities trading operations. This role is critical in evaluating and managing the company s market exposure, developing risk mitigation strategies, and supporting informed decision-making through quantitative analysis and market research.


Key Responsibilities

  • Risk Analysis & Monitoring: Analyze risks across the commodities portfolio including market volatility, supply chain dynamics, and geopolitical factors.

  • Reporting & Dashboards: Create dashboards, risk metrics, and regular reports to communicate risk exposure to stakeholders.

  • Market Research & Forecasting: Conduct in-depth research and build models to forecast price trends and risk scenarios.

  • Hedging Strategy Support: Partner with traders to design hedging strategies using derivatives (futures, options, swaps).

  • Compliance: Ensure all risk activities align with internal policies and external regulations.

  • Stress Testing: Perform scenario analysis and stress testing to assess potential impact of extreme market events.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with trading, operations, and executive teams to align risk strategies with business goals.

  • Tools & Technology: Use data analytics, risk software, and trading platforms to enhance visibility and control.
