Job Details
Position: ArcGIS Enterprise Developer
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, deploy, and support GIS applications using ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Datastore).
Develop custom web applications using JavaScript (ArcGIS API for JavaScript), Python (ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python), and/or .NET.
Configure and manage ArcGIS Enterprise components including federated servers, web maps/apps, and hosted feature layers.
Build and maintain geoprocessing services, REST endpoints, and webhooks.
Integrate ArcGIS with external systems (databases, CRMs, ERPs) through APIs and custom connectors.
Implement best practices for security, scalability, and performance within ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
Troubleshoot system and application issues, performing root cause analysis and remediation.
Collaborate with GIS analysts, database administrators, and IT teams to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or related field.
5 years of experience in ArcGIS Enterprise development and administration.
Proficiency with JavaScript (ArcGIS API for JavaScript), Python (ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python), and/or .NET.
Experience with publishing services and managing Portal items (maps, apps, dashboards).
Solid understanding of spatial databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server).
Strong understanding of web services (REST, SOAP) and API integrations.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ArcGIS Pro SDK and/or Esri Experience Builder.
Familiarity with cloud-based GIS deployments (AWS, Azure).
Experience with CI/CD tools and automation scripting (PowerShell, Python).
Understanding of DevOps concepts and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
GISP certification or Esri technical certifications.
