Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with strong experience in Retail and Logistics environments. This role requires a proven background in managing complex programs across middle-mile, final-mile, transportation, and returns initiatives. Candidates must excel in structured planning, risk identification, and schedule management-not just in technical logistics systems.

The Project Manager will use established project management methodologies and tools to lead initiatives within a structured SDLC environment.

Must-Have Requirements
  • Recent Retail industry experience is mandatory
  • Strong experience in:
    • Logistics operations
    • Middle-mile / Final-mile delivery
    • Returns management
    • Transportation projects
  • Strong planning discipline with the ability to flag and escalate delays early
  • Experience working in structured SDLC environments
Key Responsibilities Project Management & Execution
  • Manage complex project scopes including effort estimation, resource planning, and execution tracking
  • Apply established project management methodologies and tools
  • Lead budget management: forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, EV / ROI analysis, burn-down charts, team velocity tracking
  • Manage multiple concurrent complex projects
  • Drive quality control processes and corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with SDLC policies, procedures, and standards
Communication & Leadership
  • Communicate effectively with project teams, sponsors, vendors, and IT leadership
  • Present project risks, issues, dependencies, and strategic impact clearly to stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain communication plans
  • Lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration across departments
Quality Assurance & Risk Management
  • Plan and execute pre- and post-implementation activities
  • Perform QA planning, review results, and coordinate corrective actions
  • Identify project interdependencies and coordinate with related project teams
  • Lead risk mitigation meetings and develop action plans
Strategic & Organizational Responsibilities
  • Make informed recommendations to senior leadership based on analysis of tangible and intangible project impacts
  • Influence decisions affecting external partners, customer satisfaction, and business performance
  • Mentor other Project Managers as needed
  • Support special assignments requiring deep domain expertise
  • Participate in recruiting and building high-performing teams
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with product vendors to resolve issues impacting project timelines
  • Manage sensitive and confidential project information appropriately
  • Facilitate negotiations between business, development, and testing teams
