Job Description:
We are seeking a Technical Writer for a very important client
As part of the Company Maps Eval team, you'll create beautiful technical documentation on a wide range of areas related to the data, tools, infrastructure, and processes used and created by Eval You will also help data scientists, data engineers, and others write their own technical documentation You'll collaborate with them to create easy-to-understand how-to guides, system diagrams, tutorials, and everything in between You'll also help consolidate, organize, and improve existing documentation.
We use Confluence and an internal documentation portal powered by Markdown and GitHub If you aren't already familiar with these systems, this will be a perfect opportunity to learn and develop your technical acumen. And if you want to help build or define the roadmap for our approach to creating documentation, there's an opportunity for that too.
The primary focus of our documentation portal is on the data assets, infrastructure, and tooling used by Maps data scientists, data engineers, and product analysts.
Requirement:
Key Qualifications
Strong command of the English language
Experience writing and structuring documentation, how-to guides, and the like for both technical and non-technical audiences
Knowledge of Markdown, JSON, YAML, or similar languages
Able to effectively communicate with data scientists and engineers and turn their knowledge into clear documentation that others in the organization can use
Willing to learn how to run lightweight, step-by-step python, SQL and bash code in order to check documentation accuracy
Dedicated to solving problems and sharing solutions
Passion for quality, design, and user experience
