Job Details

Staffmark is hiring an experienced Fleet Diesel Mechanic in Demopolis, AL! If you're a skilled technician with a strong mechanical background and a commitment to safety, this is your opportunity to join a team that values your expertise and offers room for long-term growth.

Pay: $52,000-$75,000 per year (based on experience)

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - Finish

As a Fleet Diesel Mechanic, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of diesel tractors, trailers, and heavy-wheeled vehicles to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities


  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, hydraulics, brakes, and steering systems

  • Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and part replacements

  • Inspect and service alternators, starters, and radiators

  • Conduct occasional road service repairs and travel as needed

  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation


Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience or equivalent technical training

  • Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical diagrams

  • Must provide personal tools (up to specified sizes)

  • Valid driver's license required
