Client is looking for a data center project manager to help move the existing data center in Addison to a colocation in Addison. This will be a 2 phase approach. The first phase will be standing up the colo, get cages setup by end of June. Phase 2 will be moving the equipment, connecting up and going live on July 1st. They already have the colo vendor picked out. Would like candidates to have 3 years of data center migration exp. Don't have to have PMP. Would prefer someone with some cloud migration exp within the datacenter, virtual storage exp. Report on project status, progress, metrics, risks, test results, and deployment activities Run projects on a day-to-day basis and delegate tasks to individual project managers Lead IS related projects as required. This task could include supervision of EPMO team members Provide coaching to Project Coordinators Review project proposal or phases to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources Establish scope document, work plan and multi-disciplinary staffing for each phase of the project and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel Provide big-picture assistance to the organization and manage all aspects of related projects to ensure alignment of the overall program with strategic business objectives Confer with project staff to develop a work plan appropriate to the context and objectives of a project Coordinate with resource owners to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Integrate any/all team subplans into a larger master project plan Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required. Ensure adherence to quality standards and review all project deliverables Establish, schedule, and facilitate regular status meetings with project personnel. Document agendas and minutes for all status meetings and assign action items as appropriate Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget Maintain issue list, proactively escalate issues to project and departmental leadership to mitigate risk. Recommend and take action to direct analysis and solution of problems Prepare and present project reports for management, client, or others Follow departmental start-up, implementation and close down procedures for managing projects Participate in technical assessments and business process workflow review and documentation. Identify and document opportunities for increasing efficiency
