Job Details

Job Title: Oracle DBA with AWS Expertise

Location: [ Westlake, TX- Hybrid]

Type: [ Contract - Long term

Experience: 10 to 15+ years preferred

Any Visa works


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage Oracle databases on AWS RDS and EC2.

  • Perform database schema design, optimization, and performance tuning.

  • Handle backup, recovery, patching, and security of Oracle DBs.

  • Work with AWS-native services (RDS, DMS, CloudWatch, IAM) for database operations and monitoring.

  • Collaborate with DevOps and application teams for integration and support.

  • Support database migration and modernization initiatives.



Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong experience with Oracle DB administration (11g, 12c, 19c).

  • Hands-on with AWS RDS (Oracle), Database Migration Service (DMS), and Schema conversion tools.

  • Expertise in database design, scripting (PL/SQL), and performance tuning.

  • Good understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and data security best practices in cloud environments.

  • Familiarity with automated infrastructure and CI/CD integration for DB management.



Certifications Required:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional (Mandatory)



Nice to Have:

  • Experience with other AWS database services (e.g., Aurora, DynamoDB).

  • Exposure to multi-region deployments or hybrid cloud DB strategies.

  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins) for DB provisioning.
