Job Details

Job Title: Atlassian Administrator

Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Duration : Long-Term Contract

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Atlassian Administrator to manage and optimize our suite of Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and other related applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the configuration, customization, integration, and ongoing maintenance of Atlassian products to support project management, software development, and cross-functional collaboration across the organization.
Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years of experience administering Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Crowd, Bamboo).
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and ITIL/ITSM concepts.
  • Experience with JQL, REST APIs, and scripting tools like Script Runner or Groovy.
  • Familiarity with user management, security controls, and permission schemes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Nice To Have:

  • Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certification.
  • Experience with Data Center and/or Cloud versions of Atlassian tools.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and integrations (Bamboo, Jenkins, Git).

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Atlassian tools (Jira Software, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jira Service Management, etc.).
  • Create and manage custom workflows, fields, screens, dashboards, and reports in Jira.
  • Implement and maintain automation rules and scripts (e.g., using Script Runner or Automation for Jira).
  • Manage user access, roles, groups, and permissions across the Atlassian stack.
  • Integrate Atlassian tools with third-party systems (GitHub, Jenkins).
  • Support teams in adopting best practices for Agile, Scrum, and ITSM using Atlassian tools.
  • Monitor system performance, conduct routine audits, and ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Coordinate and execute upgrades, migrations, and plugin/app installations.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and act as the primary point of contact for tool-related issues.
