Role Systems Administrator

Location-Washington D.C

The candidate shall advise and assist in Infrastructure Engineering activities including but not limited to: LAN, WAN, Secure Voice and Data, 802.11 wireless, Unified Communication (Voice over IP, Collaboration), Video, remote network access via internet Virtual Private Network (VPN), leased lines, RF/optic transceivers, remote application access using SSl/TLS encryption with Smartcard authentication; Citrix XenApp and Netscalar, VMWare vSphere, PKI, firewall and network security, disaster recovery operations, Storage Area Networks, provide support in resolving second and third tier network problems; upgrade, replace, or augment network hardware and software.

The contractor shall provide the following services but not limited to:

Tracks usage levels, monitoring growth rates, determining if capacity levels are being approached, and producing alerts

Analyzes, troubleshoots, and reconfigures the network to maintain constant Wide Area Network (WAN) availability

Monitors, analyzes, and adjusts network for mission bandwidth requirements

Conducts network analysis to ensure optimal performance of the network

Supports design, installation, and integration activities of new routers and other equipment

Maintain network interface configurations, IP routing tables and firewall settings, filter tables, passwords, and performance controls

Perform remote troubleshooting as required

Responsible for the overall integration and upkeep of all wide area network and enterprise management services to include all servers, workstations, and access accounting functions inherent to network access.

Responsible for the network management computer systems

Manages User Account management, Group, and Home Directory maintenance for servers, user/group policies/rights enterprise level

Analyzes and resolves problems associated with server hardware, operating systems, and applications software

Installs, configures and maintains server operating systems, to include operating system patches, service packs, and application software patches and maintenance of database software licenses

Maintains the security and integrity of databases

Installs, configure and maintain operating systems, to include network services, operating system patches, application software patches

Performs user account, group, and home directory maintenance for servers

Analyzes, develops, tests, and/or modifies hardware and software solutions.
