Lockheed Martin's Rotary and Mission Systems' C4ISR team is looking for a proven and experienced systems engineer to support the Peace Krypton (PK) program.
THE WORK
As a System Engineer in this position, you will:
Lead the development of system requirements, including stakeholder analysis, requirements elicitation, and requirements documentation
Assist the System Architect with design and architecture development of complex systems, including system decomposition, interface definition, and system performance analysis
Develop and maintain system models, including conceptual, logical, and physical models
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and test engineering, to ensure system integration and test
Develop and maintain system documentation, including system design documents, interface control documents, and test plans
Ensure that systems meet customer needs and expectations, including performance, safety, security, and reliability
Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand system requirements and ensure that systems meet their needs
Develop and implement process improvements to increase systems engineering efficiency and effectiveness
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior system engineers, including training and mentoring
Participate in system engineering process improvement initiatives, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes

WHO YOU ARE
An experienced System Engineer with a focus on the left-hand side of the Systems Engineering V (SEV) model.
A candidate with a strong background in systems engineering, with expertise in requirements development, system design, and system architecture.
You will be responsible for leading the development of system requirements, designing and architecting complex systems, and ensuring that systems meet customer needs and expectations.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM related field
Minimum 10 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on requirements and development through one or more critical program milestones (SRR/SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR)
Strong background in systems engineering principles, including requirements development, system design, and system architecture
Experience with systems engineering tools including DOORS
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams and customers
Ability to think critically and solve complex problems
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and complete documentation
Desired skills
Current CompTIA Security+ certification
Experience with agile development methodologies
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including ISO 15288 and IEEE 1220
Knowledge of DO-178C - Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification
Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies
Strong programming and scripting skills, including languages such as C# and PowerShell
Experience with virtual/converged systems and technologies
Experience with Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Experience with IT Management Suite (ITMS) systems and technologies
Experience with Modeling Languages and/or Architecture modeling methodologies, including SysML, UML, DoDAF

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
