Job Details

We are looking for a detail oriented Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer

Location: RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK , North Carolina

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail oriented Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer with strong SQL skills, functional understanding of business processes, and hands on experience with DBT and Control M. The candidate will play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights and ensuring smooth data pipeline orchestration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze functional requirements.
  • Build and maintain data models and transformation workflows using DBT (Data Build Tool).
  • Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot batch jobs using Control M.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems.
  • Document data flows, business logic, and technical specifications.
  • Support data driven decision making across departments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or related roles.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL across large datasets and complex joins.
  • Experience with DBT for modular, testable data transformations.
  • Working knowledge of Control M for job scheduling and automation.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and cross functional collaboration.
  • Background in finance, retail, healthcare, or other data intensive industries.
