Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a passion for construction? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment where you can put your technical skills to work? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a highly skilled Permanent Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. This role is integral to our success, as you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery. You will be working on a variety of projects, from residential buildings to large-scale industrial complexes. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and a knack for problem-solving.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Electrical Engineer in our team, your responsibilities will include:
1. Designing and implementing electrical systems for construction projects, ensuring compliance with national electrical codes and building regulations.
2. Creating and interpreting electrical drawings and blueprints using AutoCAD.
3. Overseeing power distribution, including the installation and maintenance of circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, and other electrical components.
4. Conducting inspections to ensure high and low voltage systems meet safety standards and performance requirements.
5. Collaborating with project managers, architects, and other engineering professionals to ensure project goals are met.
6. Troubleshooting electrical issues and providing solutions in a timely manner.
7. Staying updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and construction industry trends.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design software.
4. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems design, electrical code compliance, building codes, and NEC.
5. Familiarity with power distribution systems, including circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, and high and low voltage systems.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. A valid professional engineer's license.
